Be who God called you to be.

Don't Get Me Wrong

Don't get me wrong

First and foremost I'm a Christian saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. When I write about the hypocrisy of the religious people of the bible. What you hear in my words is frustration and heartbreak.

God has done many great things in my life. So It's always been disappointing for me to read of the misuse of authority and hypocrisy that are recurring themes in the history of Christianity.

Coming to faith later in life, I'm well versed in how the world views Christians . I understand how people want something and someone to believe in. I know the disappointment that comes, when someone you put your hopes in, doesn't live up to what a christian should be.

The bible is full of people searching to find faith, trying to make their life's right in the sight of God. The truth is , all the great people of the bible are deeply flawed. Their stories give us hope that we may overcome our own short comings and become the person God called us to be.

There are also stories of false prophets and wrong doers. That tell us how people will take advantage of peoples faith and mislead them for their own personal gain, disgracing the name of God in the process.

These stories weren't written for non believers who never come to church . They are warnings to believers , calling for us to be wise and thoughtful . To move pass our own fears and worries .

When Reverend Martin Luther King spoke of the fierce urgency of now. He was right, Now is the time.

Quote: We are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there "is" such a thing as being too late. This is no time for apathy or complacency. This is a time for vigorous and positive action.”
